I love the glowing spider and the large eye!<br />
Yet, I wish there were less eyes on the hand, too much going on there, it was fun to draw though. I kept thinking of new things to add to it when it was almost finished. I might do some more drawings with this character, I kinda like the whole 'evil' fairy tale character idea.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-78458711353460238072011-05-02T10:23:00.000-07:002011-05-02T10:23:34.186-07:00Concentric Circles Tutorial<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRGGv-DzkcupQCOmeBenIRnLBjmvnymYUkhuVWsHgtZlbAH8yC_r6N05gcO9fKJg8A-1NHvuNAWrblmw-U3xFwrLhuviG6OCJH9U-8CuaIAEgKHYU-PfOM58rOxh-zczty9gyT-yWEbC2i/s1600/circles+practice.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRGGv-DzkcupQCOmeBenIRnLBjmvnymYUkhuVWsHgtZlbAH8yC_r6N05gcO9fKJg8A-1NHvuNAWrblmw-U3xFwrLhuviG6OCJH9U-8CuaIAEgKHYU-PfOM58rOxh-zczty9gyT-yWEbC2i/s320/circles+practice.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div>Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-45229008394983621342011-04-28T10:52:00.000-07:002011-04-28T10:52:27.185-07:00Lady of the Wolves<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxoA1SdI7X3rkX0Xgr-inTXhag7-A9S7vkkJR4K20Nl7CiPrfmxwI7LOJ60kZVG-L_zNlLvSO1aPXNW439T2ZuIxqVBT48MdzcxvH1iLf7cTSvpiFMQycGh07q5FPfI_ZmYZAMC4MMwOmx/s1600/lady+of+the+wolves.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="227px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxoA1SdI7X3rkX0Xgr-inTXhag7-A9S7vkkJR4K20Nl7CiPrfmxwI7LOJ60kZVG-L_zNlLvSO1aPXNW439T2ZuIxqVBT48MdzcxvH1iLf7cTSvpiFMQycGh07q5FPfI_ZmYZAMC4MMwOmx/s320/lady+of+the+wolves.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div>I needed some practice drawing wolves and profiles of people... I'm rather impressed with how both of them turned out, yet they don't quite go well together, the wolf has almost no outline while the girl has a very dark outline. I wish that I had done more with the background, it's extremely simple, yet, I can't draw the moon for the life of me. I really really like how furry the wolf looks, it was definately worth the effort. I also really like the girl's dress, even if it's a very small part of the picture. The flowers in her hair aren't very easy to tell what they are, I need more practice with flowers as well.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-175584673141356812011-04-14T11:10:00.000-07:002011-04-14T11:10:50.738-07:00Final Illustration: Colors of Life<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg66W5X5hRGlAhQ8binZfryVr0uKhPD_UOQmTWob6lt6X8aL5mn3jghLf9_7zWWK8ZdmxEBcDo_7TZuo8ZmgjJ0YeJGHjEQVMIrZ4EiIXx6M25_phSKyWKUjnZ0WLJpQp76b79NXy7XAhQR/s1600/project+doodle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg66W5X5hRGlAhQ8binZfryVr0uKhPD_UOQmTWob6lt6X8aL5mn3jghLf9_7zWWK8ZdmxEBcDo_7TZuo8ZmgjJ0YeJGHjEQVMIrZ4EiIXx6M25_phSKyWKUjnZ0WLJpQp76b79NXy7XAhQR/s320/project+doodle.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>(That's the best hand I've ever drawn...)<br />
1. I really like the final piece, it's very colorful and I really like the shines on her face and shoulder. <br />
2. I think this piece is successful, the colors work together well, and nothing's too harsh on the picture.<br />
3. The only thing that doesn't work well is her profile, her mouth is just a big smudge with no real outline of her lips. What really worked in my opinion were the lines, without them the piece was very flat.<br />
4. If I could do it again I would probably work a little more on the hair, it's very flat, but I did try to add some shines and highlights at the end. <br />
5. The most difficult part was the red line, it wouldn't go around her finger without making a kink of some sort, it was very annoying to do. <br />
6. I got into the hang of using layer masks to hide parts of the lines (I actually learned that from one of today's tutorials) as well as using the burn and dodge tool to make shadows and highlights.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-22908905605972791752011-04-12T10:45:00.000-07:002011-04-12T10:45:11.041-07:00Tiger Illustration<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxh2jju56JH8LDZAz4SCAPAZEABlqrlhrgzCoA4hwkXJRCOmiQew42hPX28b4z3NWRV2re5dd68Njt1bHs8Fgol36u0LTfGmyQcpxhC5Bhc6C8shVaFVSOH27GH-LRgECUY0rsmBtfhX-B/s1600/tiger+illustration.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxh2jju56JH8LDZAz4SCAPAZEABlqrlhrgzCoA4hwkXJRCOmiQew42hPX28b4z3NWRV2re5dd68Njt1bHs8Fgol36u0LTfGmyQcpxhC5Bhc6C8shVaFVSOH27GH-LRgECUY0rsmBtfhX-B/s320/tiger+illustration.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Free-hand drawn.<br />
1. I like the piece, although I wish I could have done more with the stripes to make them look more realistic.<br />
2. I think the piece is fairly successful, I would have liked for there to be more shine in the left eye, I didn't realize how small the shine that is there is. <br />
3. I tried many different ways to do the nose, I tried some highlights yet those looked really bad, I also struggled with the stripes, making them look natural is very hard, and I don't think I did a very good job of that..<br />
4. If I were to do it again, I wouldn't make it so wide, there's so much space that doesn't have much going on becides stripes, and it surprised me how wide a tiger's head is. <br />
5. The most difficult part was the stripes, they look very painted on, they don't look very furry or realistic at all, I guess I blended them a bit too much and did them too quickly.<br />
6. I learned some more about blending layers and smudging lines. I also learned more about making shadows and using the burn and dodge tool.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-60960727550831717822011-04-08T08:00:00.000-07:002011-04-18T07:39:51.017-07:00Realistic Coloring Practice<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />

Make a person that hold a shiny sphere that reflects the courtyard when it should reflect their face. <br />
2. Create a never-ending staircase using the blue/green stairs in the courtyard.<br />
3. Make the Mods float over a tennis court and be held in place by cables.<br />
4. Make the courtyard ground look shiny, like water, leave the patches of land as islands and have people look like they're swimming possibly create ripples in the water.<br />
5. Take a picture of the pod from a ground angle then from an above angle and put one on the cieling like a reflection.<br />
6. Create a common sense crossing out of a hallway in the school, make some people walk on the cieling and some on the wall.<br />
7. Place a giant reflective ball in the junior lot and have people stand around it and have it reflect upside down like a bubble.<br />
8. Make a live cougar come out of one of the large cougar paintings around the school, would be interesting to use one of the giant paintings in the gym.<br />
9. Make a student grow out of one of the patches of dirt in the courtyard and leave a sign next to it saying "AHS Student" like the signs in the gardening section of stores saying what flower's what.<br />
10. Shiny spheres hanging around the courtyard from the sky, have some people look at the spheres confused and have some point and act surprised.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-60845710780339505912011-03-29T11:02:00.000-07:002011-03-29T11:02:42.327-07:00Themed Project 3: Promotion items<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPZALQfWRPB7yep-Qmh9NmNe0Xlj8fu7YWxUxm9kXyz6ZycceL1XzvQVOIPM1D0qofKON1jL-Yn1tsdwq-u2Gk8Lz_THtZ_QAH5_VxgrQwcsJiIZNFuFB5H3tcUNuUvVGfhmItjxEJLCim/s1600/broken+ipod.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPZALQfWRPB7yep-Qmh9NmNe0Xlj8fu7YWxUxm9kXyz6ZycceL1XzvQVOIPM1D0qofKON1jL-Yn1tsdwq-u2Gk8Lz_THtZ_QAH5_VxgrQwcsJiIZNFuFB5H3tcUNuUvVGfhmItjxEJLCim/s320/broken+ipod.jpg" width="258" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwHnGy_muy4BKH-GvvJLoIJ1dx045qXoXKcDhyphenhyphenQBn5DSN3-IH6bw8Pm5_Ztf6rYNZqzzlTmHuK-e-JNAy_f9tSDkrZ4-7H6BtqfEkaflmjbpQyh5bTLUs7mr6MmeTE8bPXRNfRnMUBAxtQ/s1600/buble-iphone-case.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="177" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwHnGy_muy4BKH-GvvJLoIJ1dx045qXoXKcDhyphenhyphenQBn5DSN3-IH6bw8Pm5_Ztf6rYNZqzzlTmHuK-e-JNAy_f9tSDkrZ4-7H6BtqfEkaflmjbpQyh5bTLUs7mr6MmeTE8bPXRNfRnMUBAxtQ/s400/buble-iphone-case.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiqh9EBxaHH6VsC2OhQrjlKdCICvVI5yzxkkbY1pWJFBjBT8_tTBBVQ6eS9vGdKjWmB2PLkTJFhSXFEq7CblH_oEjKOJFeGgmA9ajvzHibhZ9DsNTmqlDso4f5or5P4C1qBbGFrtKKExty/s1600/laptop+promotion.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiqh9EBxaHH6VsC2OhQrjlKdCICvVI5yzxkkbY1pWJFBjBT8_tTBBVQ6eS9vGdKjWmB2PLkTJFhSXFEq7CblH_oEjKOJFeGgmA9ajvzHibhZ9DsNTmqlDso4f5or5P4C1qBbGFrtKKExty/s320/laptop+promotion.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />

2. I think it's fairly successful, although I did use too much of the pink version of it. I really like how the iphone cases turned out. <br />
3. It worked well that I only used technology it fits well with the theme, and I really like how I was able to recreate the broken text from the original Broken picture. Experimenting with the blending options made a variety in the iphone cases that made it very interesting. <br />
4. If I could do it again, I would probably choose a different laptop to use, the dell isn't very attractive in my opinion, but it was the simplest one. <br />
5. The most difficult part was recreating the text on the ipod, since I couldn't get the old text, so it was fun recreating it... even though it was super tedious. <br />
6. I learned a lot about how different blending options can create different colors and effects and repeating the same picture on each case but changing the blending options can create very different color schemes and effects.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-91147598425846718122011-03-24T10:13:00.000-07:002011-03-28T10:05:25.571-07:00Broken<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsqL1bCc7-6BrULUupeH1UVhUrkN793IR4HQ6zoLy-7KSEEEkskpGa2AGUEVbb5efkWsOHfMNt9a0jkPlU4Q8OSCZwh4ubFqqjpi67EAji501MKB-BT3suTPZK3yvq3WolyQ1JMbCbOcLs/s1600/broken.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsqL1bCc7-6BrULUupeH1UVhUrkN793IR4HQ6zoLy-7KSEEEkskpGa2AGUEVbb5efkWsOHfMNt9a0jkPlU4Q8OSCZwh4ubFqqjpi67EAji501MKB-BT3suTPZK3yvq3WolyQ1JMbCbOcLs/s400/broken.jpg" width="400" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2Xp0UQrtzTqMHa4HoZSg5Q056cBG3kWY5SK2w_RZ3YGxQDNxUGdD_9iggfeBzIdW8hEMIMMEZiUD4MDbiVV4pqstlSjXt86DiiadVthd7cwqK1OMORILKHT_1YvlwyTMv2FRDtgz-U5jC/s1600/broken+simplified.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="cssfloat: left; height: 210px; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; width: 269px;"><img border="0" height="156" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2Xp0UQrtzTqMHa4HoZSg5Q056cBG3kWY5SK2w_RZ3YGxQDNxUGdD_9iggfeBzIdW8hEMIMMEZiUD4MDbiVV4pqstlSjXt86DiiadVthd7cwqK1OMORILKHT_1YvlwyTMv2FRDtgz-U5jC/s200/broken+simplified.jpg" width="200" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiizD4T7I6K3_pp7oVfRla4fG19Ju5eMW3ZwykrBeXkPjid5iIqnRtUScJxYzotW4hIzLOnKEKK6BLT6EU-cN7N6v_GxTBFH8reZ0l4TazqS4j6S6lwxaNn_BRtfO5Iza15xYxsY083HZTt/s1600/bubble+detail.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiizD4T7I6K3_pp7oVfRla4fG19Ju5eMW3ZwykrBeXkPjid5iIqnRtUScJxYzotW4hIzLOnKEKK6BLT6EU-cN7N6v_GxTBFH8reZ0l4TazqS4j6S6lwxaNn_BRtfO5Iza15xYxsY083HZTt/s200/bubble+detail.jpg" width="133" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGeyEtnDSODs1Ef_kWq06LZFUSkVwqqWZ-4qqVOf5iigpPxgAKoWDASoe_gaXpuDfKOKoOl6eo26ZbiibzrI3x3OmIgw6F6V6fDZfYeDctFSIvWWCsvTxsaxWjXA2cYl0xvw4cl4U33TLA/s1600/broken+text.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="100" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGeyEtnDSODs1Ef_kWq06LZFUSkVwqqWZ-4qqVOf5iigpPxgAKoWDASoe_gaXpuDfKOKoOl6eo26ZbiibzrI3x3OmIgw6F6V6fDZfYeDctFSIvWWCsvTxsaxWjXA2cYl0xvw4cl4U33TLA/s200/broken+text.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />

The text at the bottom was very tedious to make but looks really cool in the end. </div></div></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">2. I think it's very successful, the colors are simple, but bright, and the design is not too over powering. Before I adjusted the blending on the layers, it was a very overpowering piece, but I really like the way it looks merged on the bubbles. </div></div></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">3. I wish I had done a bit more in the corner, but I like the piece anyway. It all flows to the bottom left, then the lines lead it to the top right corner, but I think there's too much of a space between the lines and the text at the bottom, it probably could be fixed with a few small/medium bubbles. </div></div></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">4. If I did it again, I would probably try to use a few more shades of orange, I used only the orange on one part of the laptop, I should have used darker and lighter colors, but I compensated by changing the opacity of the color and basicly achieving the same effect. </div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">5. The most difficult part was the text, it may not look like much, but selecting little bits and moving it just slightly and trying not to move pieces of the next letter was very tedious, and a little annoying. But, I like how it looks. </div></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">6. I learned alot about changing the opacity and selecting small selections. As well as changing the blending of layers.</div></div>Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-83862698221908564782011-03-21T10:27:00.000-07:002011-03-21T10:27:34.532-07:00Newimal<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5qB61p_BsVqVWSXJY7p1HNdVB89-cyiSN52q3cTkIBCCMWNNOCMUEkxJuxVZMEO5urh0LttivzWzakhA6o9qSaqJAz5iUtjdeZ64kGFm9u8aVPZx6tzbFxTNdRqy68_dfJSIM3PHugVcK/s1600/newimal.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5qB61p_BsVqVWSXJY7p1HNdVB89-cyiSN52q3cTkIBCCMWNNOCMUEkxJuxVZMEO5urh0LttivzWzakhA6o9qSaqJAz5iUtjdeZ64kGFm9u8aVPZx6tzbFxTNdRqy68_dfJSIM3PHugVcK/s320/newimal.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>1. I like it, I wish I had done more with the head though. I tried to make the wings go with it by adjusting the colors, but it didn't quite work out. So, it's just green unfortunately.<br />
2. I think it's fairly successful, the blending made the wings fit with the frog and there's no real harsh differences in color. <br />
3. The tail and the frog definately worked, but the wings were very stubborn to get to look like that and it would have been difficult to make the color scheme match perfectly. The tips of the feathers are to light and such..<br />
4. If I could do it again, I probably wouldn't have chosen such a monotone animal, there may be a bit of brown but it's mostly a green frog, on a green leaf of some sort. <br />
5. The most difficult part was making the wings the right color, it took alot of sampling colors and blending them. The back wing was probably the most annoying, it really wanted to be white. <br />
6. I learned a bit about burning and dodging the colors, I used it a lot on the wings to get the dark and lights looking right, I wish I had added a bit of shine on them to make them seem frog-flesh-like..Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-9243363223736720442011-03-17T11:20:00.000-07:002011-03-17T11:20:39.149-07:00Brush Composition: Game<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSqXoYds511R8Va6dML44HxpDCKyvFcu_AbvEtLKx7wktX0zj-iiuIYN3Wg75LihE-T9Dek5CqkITYwSgjUUE1iy0sgdtCsys6EBD-0PIf9s08PUaoVtZp2pAgHvd4Uy0A-vyH567FyZRx/s1600/game+brush+composition.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSqXoYds511R8Va6dML44HxpDCKyvFcu_AbvEtLKx7wktX0zj-iiuIYN3Wg75LihE-T9Dek5CqkITYwSgjUUE1iy0sgdtCsys6EBD-0PIf9s08PUaoVtZp2pAgHvd4Uy0A-vyH567FyZRx/s320/game+brush+composition.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>1. I really like it to be honest. But I wish I could have done more with the biker. <br />
2. It's very successful, but the sackboy seems to be overpowering the piece.<br />
3. The color scheme worked very well for this piece, black and white always looks good. The only thing that I kept getting stuck on was the biker, it was too small to put anywhere, but I wanted it in there somewhere. <br />
4. If I could do it again, I would use more games with smaller pictures flying out instead of being ontop of the controler. <br />
5. There wasn't much difficulty becides finding pictures, but cropping them out was very tedious. <br />
6. I got tons of practice in cropping out pictures, especially with the detail in them.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-16669472071869932382011-03-16T11:18:00.000-07:002011-03-16T11:18:55.962-07:00Colors of Music (brush composition: Music)<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdO0J17f_fg_2vmTIq392wj3b6f9SBnTCNfhUXS7aLfF9MBr4APEU9nOFqqhFCvK9Oc-6NhvA36f0Fhh9SwHZ6chlqngERq6JFKsHbK0IyCMvb2TdlJNl-UjlbpDbbuaoKMvfJJ-KevqJV/s1600/colors+of+music.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdO0J17f_fg_2vmTIq392wj3b6f9SBnTCNfhUXS7aLfF9MBr4APEU9nOFqqhFCvK9Oc-6NhvA36f0Fhh9SwHZ6chlqngERq6JFKsHbK0IyCMvb2TdlJNl-UjlbpDbbuaoKMvfJJ-KevqJV/s320/colors+of+music.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>1. I really like the final piece, it's very colorful, although I could've done more with the headphones. <br />
2. Very successful, I like the warping of the music. <br />
3. The curved music lines work very well, but I think there's too much going on by the headphones. <br />
4. If I could do it again, I would probably try to add more color to the headphones, it doesn't really go with the bright music notes. <br />
5. The most difficult part was warping the lines of music to my liking, I don't have too much expierence with that, so I improved. <br />
6. I learned alot about the warp option, I never really knew much about it, but I liked how easy it was after a bit of practice.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-8865781084778348872011-03-14T11:12:00.000-07:002011-03-14T11:12:30.071-07:00Brush Composition: Beverage<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfwYFulK4CERPoZ6LWH9fOAgwMS3L-d3CtCJg6l-GbaGDwHVlJcpvV0zWz8jdcPdW6XCSfME509NNpSu7oNzwXICgoL5tRQDTHUX-KVa277hZURkFCNVBlm6k52xtfPrLwvvfOq6yTAqf_/s1600/beverage+project.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" q6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfwYFulK4CERPoZ6LWH9fOAgwMS3L-d3CtCJg6l-GbaGDwHVlJcpvV0zWz8jdcPdW6XCSfME509NNpSu7oNzwXICgoL5tRQDTHUX-KVa277hZURkFCNVBlm6k52xtfPrLwvvfOq6yTAqf_/s320/beverage+project.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Very colorful...<br />
1. Not quite what I had in mind, but I liked messing with the blending options to make different colors.<br />
2. It's fairly sucessful, although I should've done more with the can, different colors or something to make it more interesting than just yellow. <br />
3. The 'bubbles' or circles worked really well, although, there's quite a few of them you can't see, some of them were lost in the blending..<br />
4. If I could do it again I would probably try different colors in different places, and maybe a few less bubbles... <br />
5. The most difficult part of this project was finding a background for it, the radial background there took a while to find and even longer to figure out how to use, but it looks very nice in it. <br />
6. I learned alot about custom shapes along with blending options. I also used the pattern overlay blending option for the first time, for the text.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-73057498659400542892011-03-07T10:56:00.001-08:002011-03-07T10:56:39.856-08:00Grunge Text with Brushes Tutorial<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX7IjXzNd_kgkQ6j5-d5_8JvvJyKmyhp23HZ3kRG68s49ToCYcHGm3ydXvo2RYJRj7BWTgXtvpGP9DzVtoVCTTRAnC0NcJGcWTAjb6eEikZI6KV01LHVEEZH_I9Mnw3q7z9hLG8t3AJBVB/s1600/grunge+text.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" q6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX7IjXzNd_kgkQ6j5-d5_8JvvJyKmyhp23HZ3kRG68s49ToCYcHGm3ydXvo2RYJRj7BWTgXtvpGP9DzVtoVCTTRAnC0NcJGcWTAjb6eEikZI6KV01LHVEEZH_I9Mnw3q7z9hLG8t3AJBVB/s320/grunge+text.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>More splatter than grunge, but it looks pretty good.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-18170975932231392011-03-07T10:07:00.001-08:002011-03-07T10:07:58.826-08:00Custom Brush Tutorial<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinA_vYKtniJi3GN5v7NvUIWR0DaD91REpGXYltUEU08qdwtDMLjHRMekPFipZgPfPW7Zfzl1bcqemtiH9VkCrGho_iSZgHSCF-0eygP9nYVrGBGdWnO7eZgW-sLR0kjhnrV6SFZK_1_-s6/s1600/custom+brush.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="249" q6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinA_vYKtniJi3GN5v7NvUIWR0DaD91REpGXYltUEU08qdwtDMLjHRMekPFipZgPfPW7Zfzl1bcqemtiH9VkCrGho_iSZgHSCF-0eygP9nYVrGBGdWnO7eZgW-sLR0kjhnrV6SFZK_1_-s6/s320/custom+brush.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Quick custom brush tutorial. Came out fairly well, although I wish I had picked a picture with a little more shadows in it. I like the color scheme though. <br />
2. I think it's fairly sucessful, it definately looks very appealing. Oh the wonder of photoshop. <br />
3. I think the background and foreground text works very nicely, although the green and purple foreground text doesn't flow very well. Your eye gets stuck there since it's so harsh on the pale background. <br />
4. If I did it again I would definately choose a better picture, although the emotion and look of the model is very nice, her hair was incredibly blonde.. white almost, so it didn't really catch any of her hair. <br />
5. The most difficult part of this piece was choosing where to place the foreground text. It would have looked better if I had used more words, since I wouldn't go all perfectionistic over repeating patterns and whatnot. <br />
6. I learned alot about layer masks and making brushes from words.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-4331934668263249842011-03-02T10:29:00.002-08:002011-03-02T10:29:35.161-08:00Text Tutorial 2<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3IQzui803K_2A398BoQGkXh94vQWDdSRo2pgx7hgq0Mk6fIeHTVDGMhrRaBefG0nZ60iaK_hc6Mhyphenhyphen_M3noDqT_U4XSIA2-JHPgJFNRirC-g2H7s8GqTC0hwzdV49rTfaKp8P48oEm1vkV/s1600/smoke.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" l6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3IQzui803K_2A398BoQGkXh94vQWDdSRo2pgx7hgq0Mk6fIeHTVDGMhrRaBefG0nZ60iaK_hc6Mhyphenhyphen_M3noDqT_U4XSIA2-JHPgJFNRirC-g2H7s8GqTC0hwzdV49rTfaKp8P48oEm1vkV/s320/smoke.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-11603281348981938792011-03-02T10:29:00.000-08:002011-03-02T10:29:07.397-08:00Text Tutorial 1<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ99bETG6NPIlCeZlIew71T2VkHJ0Xg7hcjnFtORTkG3Y92Zm8W3tb46gAXPFDp6rVVBF_27SqsIuTJ1pH36O-ea_gxOPpA8VIZt1KvRSVQCAQJlY3lSS0V2QnDrz1hN2aiN0gnvGNVEtN/s1600/icy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="160" l6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ99bETG6NPIlCeZlIew71T2VkHJ0Xg7hcjnFtORTkG3Y92Zm8W3tb46gAXPFDp6rVVBF_27SqsIuTJ1pH36O-ea_gxOPpA8VIZt1KvRSVQCAQJlY3lSS0V2QnDrz1hN2aiN0gnvGNVEtN/s320/icy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09834435287082045734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655479816741567047.post-29915062004320020612011-02-28T17:55:00.000-08:002011-02-28T17:55:59.434-08:00Text Tutorial: GIMP, not Photoshop<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbw4QMosjb8NPQDA9NXS4Lbs7aV5c8AbMmOxwjFMCIwroTcwX7ocu_uQlOlfCo68OVxYiPZpIMXa4X73R1GoDq75sZCWi0uuC8wdnb3lfPZwad-1CBsQcGuGz51Csl4QvNN7-oG2Ds6L5Y/s1600/inspire.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbw4QMosjb8NPQDA9NXS4Lbs7aV5c8AbMmOxwjFMCIwroTcwX7ocu_uQlOlfCo68OVxYiPZpIMXa4X73R1GoDq75sZCWi0uuC8wdnb3lfPZwad-1CBsQcGuGz51Csl4QvNN7-oG2Ds6L5Y/s320/inspire.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>At home practice for text editing. I really like it, originally it was going to be a green color, but i thought that the blue worked much better. <br />
2. I think it's fairly sucessful, I probably would've liked it better if it had a little bit of light in the hair, but it's a dark fairy, so it's not too bad to have lots of black. <br />
3. The flowing hair really worked for this project, but I wish i could've kept some of her face in there, it got covered up by the hair, but it wound up working out. What didn't work is the shadows on the ground, they just made it look like her dress kept going, which it didn't. <br />
4. If I could try again, I would probably mess with the wings a little more, they don't quite look right at the moment, I would try different angles and maybe adjust the lighting on them. <br />
